On August 25, 1992, Serb aggressor forces set the Bosnia's National Library, situated in the Sarajevo Old City Hall, ablaze. More than 2 million books and manuscripts vanished in fire. This war crime remains one of the cruelest destructions of cultural heritage in modern history.

Don’t know if you are aware of this. Christine Whitchurch was a well loved teacher at Overtown Primary School neat Wishaw. The Overtown Brighter Village committee made a small memorial garden next to the school. This is lovingly cared for by members and is a nice quiet place of reflection in memory of Christine
