On August 25, 1992, Serb aggressor forces set the Bosnia's National Library, situated in the Sarajevo Old City Hall, ablaze. More than 2 million books and manuscripts vanished in fire. This war crime remains one of the cruelest destructions of cultural heritage in modern history.
